Your Life’s Time
The beautiful thing about Stoic philosophy is the advice contained within it is just as applicable today as it was when it was first written all those many years ago. We can learn a great deal from interpreting the advice provided and using it to our advantage as we go throughout our own lives.
Today’s quote comes to us courtesy of Seneca, Moral Letters, Letter 93:
Quote
“Just as one of small stature can be a perfect man, so a life of small compass can be a perfect life. Age ranks among the external things. How long I am to exist is not mine to decide, but how long I shall go on existing in my present way is in my own control.”
Advice
How you choose to live is within your control. How long you choose to live is not within your full control. Therefore, with the time you have remaining, make the most of your life.
